- Para la liberación del CD con la versión de Lamar Hall de la canción fue censurada y la versión correspondiente de esta en iTunes fue censurada con posterioridad también.
- Durante el PAX East 2016, Jeff dijo que la versión explicita de "I Burn" fue un error. Él incorrectamente creyó que el soez lenguaje era permitido mientras que no estuviese incluido dentro del show, pero fue informado por Rooster Teeth después de que el álbum se haya hecho público que el tema no debería incluir profanidades. Es por esto que ciertas líneas de la versión del álbum tuvieron que ser cambiadas.
- Tanto las versiones del álbum como del remix de la canción hacer referencia al estado de Super Saiyayin del anime y manga Dragon Ball. Esta referencia proviene de la fiera Semblanza de Yang que activa cuando se enfurece.
- La versión del álbum también acompaña referencias a la Antorcha Humana de los comics del Universo Marvel, como también Johnny Blaze, el alter-ego de Ghost Rider.
- Una versión instrumental de I Burn es usada como música de fondo en Rwby Volumen 2: Production Diary 4.
- Esta canción es usada como acompañamiento en la escena de pelea en el episodio "Death Battle" en el cual Yang pelea contra el personaje de Final Fantasy, Tifa Lockhart.
- En el episodio de RWBY Chibi, "Evil Interview", el titulo de la canción fue usada por Cinder Fall como nombre de usuario en un sitio de citas.
- En la película Blood Fest, el personaje de Barbara Dunkleman, Ashley, usa esta canción como ringtone.
